Best of the Fest

Suffolk Shorts met so many amazing people during the production phase of First Light Festival and a lot of them couldn’t come to our screenings because they had other commitments, like choreographing a 24 hour dance, building a massive sand sculpture or corralling Danny Boyle and Wayne Hemmingway, who were having such a good time that they kept disappearing into the crowd. At some point someone suggested a private film screening for everyone who missed the programmes, so we thought: why not do a screening for anyone who wants to come? For free!

The programming team set about agreeing/disagreeing on which shorts would be included. It took longer than you might imagine, but everyone fought their own corners and we ended up with a 90 minute programme that could be screened as a 12(A) certificate. Now we just have to agree on a location and a venue…
